Betting Alternatives During COVID-19 Sports Break

With the Coronovirus shutting down most major sports worldwide, Pay Per Head agents have the tough task of keeping their players busy.   With that goal in mind, we’ve compiled a list of events you can actually bet on over the next few weeks. Fight sports are not tapping out Despite the cancelation of a number of boxing events recently, there are still some fights of note for us to enjoy watching and wagering on.   They include: Anthony Yarder vs Lyndon Arthur | April 11th, 2020 These two British light-heavyweights will clash at the O2 Arena with both gunning for a world title shot.   They are each coming off very tough fights and will look to get back on track.   Yarde made the mistake of jumping up a class and got knocked out by WBO World Champion Sergey Kovalev. While Arthur did manage a win in his last bout, he only just beat Emmanuel Anim on the scorecard to earn the Commonwealth title. Mairis Briedis vs Yunier Dorticos | April 16th This bout in the Wor...

2020 Dubai World Cup & Florida Derby

How Pay Per Head Bookie Agents can promote Florida Derby & Dubai World Cup betting during the COVID-19 induced sports break The coronavirus pandemic has turned the sports world upside down, but horses are still running and your players can get down in the racebook. The NBA and NHL seasons are on hold. MLB Opening Day was on March 26. That’s not going to happen. Baseball might not start until June. The disruption, no doubt, has led to a loss in revenue and, likely some anxiety about your sportsbook business. As an online bookie, you might wonder what you can offer your customers. It’s ironic that even though the major sports leagues are on hiatus, the sport that started it all goes on like business as usual. Thoroughbred tracks throughout the U.S. won’t run races in front of fans, but they will run races. When it comes to what track you should promote this week, nothing compares to Gulfstream Park. Check out why you should promote horse racing betting on Gulfstream races. Also,...

Bookie to Player Communication

How every sportsbook owner can, and should, communicate effectively with their players. Effective and easy communication between players and their bookies is one of the most important aspects of the sports wagering business. Warren Buffett believes so much in communication that he told a group of MBA students that “better communication could boost their value by 50%”. Imagine what that could do for your online sportsbook. But Buffett was talking about traditional business communication. That’s where the rub is for bookies. Pay per head agents don’t operate in a traditional business world. They don’t have “inventory”. They don’t set sell conventional goods and services. Sportsbooks are unique. And that’s where bookie to player communication differs than, say, how an employee at one of Buffett’s Dairy Queen’s communicates to a kid looking to purchase an ice cream cone. The Dairy Queen, and your sportsbook, are comparable to a point. Before we get deeper into it, it’s time to take a...

How to Use Your Pay Per Head Layoff Account

Protect your profits with the Pay Per Head layoff account options. One of the most important tools in the Pay Per Head arsenal is the layoff account; without it, you could easily see your sportsbook go under after one major upset. The top reason bookies become Pay Per Head agents is for access to tools. Per head software tools allow bookies to increase profit and manage their sportsbook businesses the way Vegas books do. While tools like the APS (Agent Payment Solutions), Instant Action Ticker, customizable limits, and SMS or email notifications are imperative, the layoff account, while absolutely necessary to ensure you remain in the black, also makes being a bookie fun.  Why? Because the layoff account accomplishes something only CFO’s who can buy put options on their stock can achieve. It allows bookies to protect profit. Before getting into how bookies can use the layoff account to help them discover Jason’s Golden Fleece, it’s time for a quick refresher. Sports Betting Ba...

MLB Spring Training Preview 2020

MLB Spring Training has finally arrived and that means we are on the cusp of another season of baseball betting.   What does this mean for PayPerHead agents? Well; more action of course. Opening Day is March 29th this year, which means we are less than a month away from regular season baseball.   Spring training camps have been open for a couple of weeks now and have been playing live games in preparation for the upcoming season.  Each and every free agent of note has a new home, giving some hopeless teams a real shot at the playoffs this year and leaving some previous contenders with a tough hill to climb. As with any season, the usual favorites are atop the predictions for each division, but some new faces are coming forth as well.   A recipe made up mostly of conventional thinking with a few pinches of hope mixed in. This will be the same with sports bettors.   With some betting smartly, siding with the big boys like the Yankees or Dodgers and others ...

March 9 Weekly NBA Live Betting List

NBA Basketball Games – March 9 through March 15 The NBA is a star-driven league. That’s why when it comes to promoting live betting on NBA games, online bookies often must pick from a pool that includes the Lakers, Celtics, and Clippers. The Lakers, especially, are Adam Silver’s 2020 darling. Bookies get a treat this week. Although the Lakers do show up in a couple of nationally televised games, a few under-appreciated squads also get their close-ups. The Detroit Pistons, Sacramento Kings, Washington Wizards, and Brooklyn Nets aren’t NBA royalty. They don’t often get a ticket to attend court. That’s what happens when you’re the peasants in a sports league where the best player’s nickname is “King”. But this week? Yep. All four of those B-Teams get a chance to shine. So do the Golden State Warriors, who decided to blow up their ring winning squad after Silver and the NBA set this season’s broadcast schedule. Check out this week’s NBA television broadcast battles! Monday, March 9 ...

With Selection Sunday on March 15, online bookie agents have just a couple of weeks left to offer live betting on regular season college basketball games. Between March 2 and March 8, some teams battle it out in conference tournaments. The first couple of weeks in March are all about NCAA Tournament position jockeying. Just like a rider on a Kentucky Derby contender, college basketball coaches hope to whip their teams at the right moment to get them to peak during the Big Dance. That’s what puts the madness into March. Coaches must win to get bids. It’s going to be two weeks of frenzied, Mad Hatter hooping! You, the Pay Per Head agent, can make massive profit by players wagering before and during important college hoop games.       Check out a list of the games per head agents should promote for live betting. The...

Per Head Bookies Prepare for March Madness

March Madness betting is big business for any PayPerHead bookmaker big or small.   To prepare our agents, let’s take a look at some history, betting trends and current contenders to get your book ready. A Short History of March Madness March Madness has become one of the most beloved, and wagered, sporting events in the United States.   Created in 1939, the tournament has expanded and evolved quite a bit over the last eight decades. In the beginning, only eight teams would qualify for a chance at the crown.   Once the 1980s rolled around the stable grew to 48 teams and then to 64 in 2001.   While the league has added a form of ‘Wild Card” games with the First-Four, the real tournament still admits just 64 teams each year. 32 of those teams receive automatic entry into the tournament after winning their respective conference titles.   Regardless of anything leading up to that point, if you win your conference you punch your ticket to the show. A selectio...
